I hear good things about the World of Pain mod, which adds lots of new characters/locations/quests/content to the game, but doesn't feel out of place, lore breaking or worse, have extremely amateur voice acting.Īside from that, I can't think of much else. There's also the JSawyer mod that fixes some things and rebalances some other things, it might be something you'd be interested in. Weapons mods expanded is neat, as it enables ALL weapons to have 3 modifications, even the unique ones, along with the iHud mod that allows you to customize how you want the HUD to look like.Īlso, if you'd like your New Vegas to look more like a modern game, there's the Essential Visual Enhancement mod, or the EVE mod, which will work even on lower end systems to make the models/effects/etc look like a modern game's. I've never had any stutter issues with it, so I don't personally use it. You'll also might want to consider the stutter remover mod, but ONLY if you have any stuttering.
If you plan on using graphic enhancements mods, then the 4 GB enabled patch will definitely be essential, as it will allow NV to use 4 GBs of memory, as opposed to the 1 or 2 it's restricted to in vanilla. The script extender, Yukichigai's unofficial patch or the Mission Mojave patch for stability, and maybe the NVAC anti-crash mod.
